Testing with JoJo | Birmingham Portrait Photography

I was too excited about receiving the Nikon 85mm 1.8G that I immediately had test it out. Thankfully, JoJo was ready, willing, and able to be my subject. We only shot a few images and I'm posting two to share. I will say that I absolutely LOVE this lens. It's definitely a keeper!

Aiden | Birmingham Newborn Photography

A few months ago, I photographed Quintoria's maternity session. Last week, Aiden made his appearance and he is the most beautiful ever! It was such a joy to photograph him as he was the perfect baby. Here are a few images from our session.

Looks like he has a decision to make.

Troy's 1st Christmas | Birmingham Baby Photography

I really enjoy repeat clients. It gives you a chance to share their kids growth with them. You become a part of their memories. I held another session with baby Troy! This is first Christmas and he is ready and waiting to see Santa! He was so much fun with his many expressions and laughter. Thanks San for sharing these moments with me! Here are a few images of our session.

fifteen | birmingham lifestyle photography

We all met at grandma's house today to celebrate my niece turning 15! Wow, where did the years go?? She's always been this semi-quiet, smiling little girl, only now a lot taller. She wasn't aware that she would take photos today, but I had to document her new year…before Sweet 16! Enjoy. Happy birthday Amber; love you lots!!!

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure | Birmingham

I walked in my first Race for the Cure 5K on yesterday. I remember working last year and watching the participants celebrate a cause that's very dear to my heart. I remember learning that my grandmother had been diagnosed with breast cancer. She said it was a rare form of cancer as her lump grew on the outside of her breast. I can't really say that it was a trying time for us because my grandmother is such a fighter. Her strength far surpassed what would have brought many down. Now, 21 years later, she is still cancer free. A true survivor. So yesterday, I walked in honor of her. Of course I had Black Beauty (my Nikon) in tow, however, since I walked I didn't get as many images as I had hoped. Some images were captured with my iPhone as well. Here are a few moments from my fun day!

My aunt (right) walks annually.

Puppies for the cure =)
