this is 70 - happy birthday | birmingham lifestyle photographer

i normally enjoy and have fun during my photo sessions, but this session was big fun. i'm generally a shy introvert, but mrs peoples and her grandson john left me with no choice but to relax and enjoy myself; we had many laughs! but besides that, have you ever seen a more beautiful and vibrant 70 year old? when she called me about shooting her birthday photos, i knew that she would slay!! the day was perfect, a little warm, yet perfect. we met at the birmingham botanical gardens late afternoon and just went from there. fast forward a couple of weeks, and i was given the opportunity to capture her big celebration. she makes you feel like family; her family makes you feel like family. thank you mrs. peoples for allowing me to capture your beautiful personality and celebrate such a joyous moment in your life. i am completely grateful for you and your family. everyone, help me wish mrs. peoples a wonderful and blessed birthday.

kiona's sweet 16 in the city

sweet 16 parties are becoming one of my favorite type of events to shoot. just seeing the joy in the guest of honor's face and her surrounding family and friends makes me happy. :) kiona's sweet 16 in the city was fabulous! she arrived in a stretch hummer with an entourage of her closest friends. her mom coordinated the entire event (event planners amaze me; how do they handle so much)! kiona's smile was proof that she was very pleased with her big night. here are a few images; more can be viewed here.

d'yana's royal 16

i remember 16 and it was nothing like this! d'yana recently turned 16 and her parents made sure everything was perfect. i'm sure this was a night she will remember for a long time. everyone had a great time and they danced all night! here are a few images from d'yana's big night. additional images can be found here.
