Today's session was everything great. The weather, the light, the COUPLE! Today's session was special not only to them but also to me. I've known LaQuinta (Quin) and Nathan for many years. They are family to me. They have been given a second chance at love and this time, love wins! How beautiful is that? Here are a few images from our session.

A Day at the Beach | Atlanta, Ga

I visited my family in Atlanta to celebrate my great-niece's, Kamorie, birthday. It was a perfect day because it wasn't so hot. But the rain couldn't resist and our visit was cut short. But, I had a lot of fun visiting since it's been so long since I was last there. Here are a few of the photos I was able to make before the rain came in.

Dream Girls Lock In | Birmingham, AL

What do you get when you mix 18 girls ages 9-18, The Galleria Mall, and my camera? FUN TIMES I had the pleasure of shooting a lock in tonight for Dreams Girls International. These girls were nothing short beautiful…and fun. I am so thankful for the opportunity. Natasha, I think what you're doing is AMAZING! I see some Oprah in you girl! Get Healthy on the Railroad | Birmingham, AL

I've  been working with Railroad Park over the last few weeks documenting their "Get Healthy on the Railroad" program. Classes are held Monday through Friday at 6:00 pm with each night offering you a different style of fitness. There is also a Power Walk held the first Saturday of each month. Roderick and Greta | Birmingham Engagement Photographer

I absolutely love this time of the year. It seems like love in just in the air. Last Saturday I had an engagement session with Roderick and Greta. Love was all over the place. I didn't get out to any barbecues, parades, or firework shows this today. But, I did find some old photos from the July 4th parade in Atlanta 2007. These were made with a point and shoot camera but turned out very well, especially after a few edits. I hope your holiday was great. Enjoy.

A friend of mine has been transitioning back to her natural hair for almost a year now. She decided this past weekend that she was ready to big chop. She called me and asked if I'll help and of course I did. I'm actually on my 2nd journey of nappturalism. Of course I took my camera but since I was busy chopping, I didn't make any photos of the process. I was, however, ready afterwards. Her son and I also had a little fun while she styled her hair.
